Dr. Hung graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a degree in Biological Science. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science (MCPHS) in 2016. He received a clinical excellence award in the field of Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy upon graduation.
Dr. Hung then completed a one year residency in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy right here at Vision Care Specialists with Dr. Abbondanza! Dr. Hung is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) and the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists (MSO).
Dr. Hung has a special interest in Vision Therapy. Vision therapy can help patients improve function and efficiency of their visual system. Dr. Hung has experience with a wide spectrum of patient populations, from adults with post-concussion symptoms, to children with vision-related learning problems, eye turns, lazy eye and patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Dr. Hung was born and raised in Taiwan until the age of 12. He then lived in Singapore for 6 years before finally arriving in the U.S for his college education. He speaks English, Chinese and Taiwanese.
Dr. Hung lives in Worcester, MA with his wife Shanna and his dog (Shiba Inu) Lufie.
