Per the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control, the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and in alignment with Governor Baker's Declaration of a State of Emergency during these unprecedented times, we will be altering our business hours significantly. We all have a role to play in slowing the spread of the Corona Virus and therefore, starting Wednesday, March 18th and extending to Monday, April 6th, 2020, we are restricting our appointment schedule to patients experiencing medical eye emergencies only (i.e flashing lights, new onset floaters, light sensitivity, red eye, pain, sudden vision loss).
If you have a routine or non-urgent appointment scheduled, we will be canceling that appointment to be rescheduled at a later date. However, if you are experiencing an emergency, we are here for you and will continue to maintain the highest standards of infection prevention so we can safely care for you.
Patients who already have eyeglasses or contact lenses on order will be given the option of receiving their products through the US Mail. With the understanding that eyeglasses may need adjustments, we will offer those services again as soon as we are able to and apologize for the inconvenience. We will also continue to make it possible for current contact lens wearers to order contact lenses. The contact lenses will be mailed to your home address. All materials will need to be paid for in full, via credit card over the phone or our online bill payment portal, prior to pick-up or new order placement. In addition, our online contact lens ordering site is available from our home page on this website.
All non-urgent questions or requests must be made by either calling the office at 508-481-8558 and leaving a voicemail or by emailing us at Info@greatvisioncare.com. Specific optical questions should be emailed to Lab@greatvisioncare.com. The voice mail and emails will be checked several times a day and you will be contacted as soon as possible.
Any urgent medical emergency questions should be called in to the doctor on call at 774-571-0505 where you will be prompted to leave a voice mail. We will attempt to a call back within 1 hour.
We are currently asking patients not to visit our office if experiencing symptoms of sore throat, fever, coughing or shortness of breath. This also applies if you have traveled out of the country or have been exposed to someone presumed to or known to be infected with the virus.
We will continue to send updates as they become available.
